County Durham Joint Commissioning Strategy for Carers 2009-2013

This is the first Durham County Council and NHS County Durham Joint Commissioning Strategy for Carers 2009-2013. It has been developed following extensive consultation with local carers and the people who work with them and recognises that a joint commissioning strategy aimed at improving services for carers should also enhance the quality of life for the people they care for as well as increase the effectiveness and efficiency of health and social care services.
